Northlight led a team of consultants whose work helped create a Landscape Conservation Action Plan, the basis of a successful, £2.73 million Stage 2 application to the Heritage Lottery Fund for the delivery phase of the GGLP (2018-22). Our highly praised historic environment audit drew out key narratives, places and themes from the area's tangible and intangible cultural heritage. In collaboration with Talamh and MVGLA, we led a programme of community engagement to discover what local communities' value about their heritage. A local landscape character assesssment, conducted in tandem by MVGLA, considered how topography, land use and settlement contribute to sense of place and the factors for change at work in the area.
