Our historic environment is important. Our cultural heritage surrounds us, helps define us and affects us, for good and for ill, in meaningful ways.
We are a commercial enterprise, but we believe business is about more than the accumulation of wealth. Traditional core business values are important to us – excellence, service, diligence – and we bring these qualities to our clients and their projects.
There are also opportunities, with clients, partners, associates and friends, to bring other social and environmental benefits through the work we do. Part of our remit is to help people understand, appreciate and engage with their pasts.
Philosophy in Practice
We are a highly experienced team of heritage professionals, with expertise in providing advice and services to various sectors, including renewable energy, mineral extraction, linear route construction, education, research and community heritage. Our team provides quality services in consultancy, fieldwork, survey, forensic work, environmental analysis, research and education, graphics and dissemination and community outreach.
By reinvesting all our surpluses from commercial work, we can develop initiatives and projects for social and environmental benefit: through research and learning, and by supporting opportunities to create employment. These initiatives aim to increase social inclusion, enhance our environment, build positive relationships between people and improve quality of life.
We are about exploration and explanation – finding out about our past, and using and communicating our knowledge of it, in order to enhance the lives of people in the present and the future.
